With its highest point at 1,699m (Pic de Finiels), the Mont Lozère massif is the highest range in the department. Its granite landscape extends on ridges over 25 km long.
Local granite comes in the compact form, creating cliffs, or as scattered boulders that emerge from the ground, known as “granite boules balls”.
